Van and John

Van and John engaged

It was the first date through Chemistry.com for us, and from our first date, we knew that there was something special. We got serious quickly, and soon realized that we found a partner in each other that was willing to grow together. Fast forward 3 years later and we are living together, have two cats/ 1 dog, and are engaged! This is the first time that I have been with someone who truly 'gets' me, and vice versa. I am looking forward to our future of backyard bbq parties with family and close friends, new job opportunities, dancing til the sun comes down, children, and whatever else that comes our way. Thanks, Chemistry.com!

Lucia and Kyle

Lucia and Kyle married

Back in December of 2010, I met an amazing man through Chemistry.com. I had just been in and out of a not-so-great relationship for the previous 4.5 years. I turned to Chemistry as a way to get back on the right track and *hopefully* meet a wonderful person. I am so thankful that a past sorority sister told me how great Chemistry was for her. She too, had a wonderful experience with it and got married to a man she met through Chemistry. The two were engaged at the time she told me about Chemistry. So I decided to log on and let the journey begin. I had a number of interesting experiences (who now give me funny stories to tell) but it wasn't until I met Kyle that I was sold on your service. :) Kyle and I started dating in January of 2011. This past year (2012) we got engaged, built a house together and got married Nov. 24. It's all very exciting and busy, but so great. I never imagined I could be so happy. Thank YOU, Chemistry, for the opportunity to meet Mr. Right AKA Mr. Kyle Weathers, and thank you for letting me share my story with you!

Emily and Matt

Emily and Matt engaged

Matt and I Started emailing back in April of 2008. We had both been traveling around the world for the different parts of our jobs. Matt is a chemical engineer for the marine corps, and I was an ER nurse in a trauma center day to day and I was working as a international transport nurse on my off days. Needless to say we were both insanely busy with our travel schedules. By May we were talking on the phone all the time, still both traveling like crazy. I knew we were meant to be when after we had dated for just a couple months he was already bringing me home to meet his parents. For years we talked about marriage, and this past February (2012) I flew out to meet Matt and he took me to Cliff House in San Francisco and proposed. I doubt anyone else would have put up with either of our busy travel schedules back then, and Chemistry gave us the opportunity to find the other. Coincidentally Matt picked Chemistry because he was a chemical engineer and believes in the powers of chemistry!

Anna and David

Anna and David engaged

Anna and I first connected on Chemistry.com in March of 2010 after both of us had subscribed to other matching services (eharmony and Match.com). Anna, who has a Ph. D. and teaches psychology, became aware of Chemistry.com after listening to an audiobook, Why Him, Why Her by Dr. Helen Fisher. She was very intrigued by the matching methodology and decided to give it a try.

I had experienced a number of get-acquainted dates from eharmony and Match.com, but nothing clicked. However, I saw an on-line reference to Chemistry.com and decided to investigate. Anna became my first introduction on Chemistry and 14th in my overall on-line connections. Our first meeting was for lunch and the chemistry was already there. In fact, I brought a book for her to read because I already knew, even before meeting her in person, that I wanted to see her again.

Anna’s Personality type was Explorer and mine was Director. This matching process identified an amazing compatibility --- we refer to ourselves as twins. During the last three years of our courtship, we have developed a great deal of admiration and respect for each other.  But, what we do the most is laugh, mainly at each other.

Brooke and Charley

Brooke and Charley married

We started talking in December 2010. Charles said, "Do you have any plans on New Year's Eve? Worst case scenario--you have a story about the crazy guy who took you out for a first date on New Year's Eve!" The best case scenario? Marriage! Brooke loves turtles, and Charles proposed in front of the turtle exhibit at the National Aquarium in February 2012. Brooke said yes, and we had a wonderful beach wedding in Long Beach Island on September 15, 2012. Thanks, Chemistry.com!

Aaron and Jessica

Aaron and Jessica engaged

It was during a three day snowstorm in 2010 which gave us nothing to do and nowhere to go except browse the internet searching for that someone special. Aaron still has Jessica's original chemisty.com profile page printed out and saved. Being that we were both snowed in, we quickly went through the introductory chemistry stages, and we were soon chatting on the phone. After chatting on the phone we agreed to meet for lunch later in the week. Our first in person conversation lasted for five hours! We came in during the lunch rush, and when we left, they were serving dinner. Our relationship continued to grow, and on June 17, 2012 Aaron proposed to Jessica on the beach at Belmar, NJ. Aaron and Jessica are looking to get married in August of 2013. Thanks chemistry.com for introducing us!

Christina and Chris

Christina and Chris married

It was Father's Day weekend and I had just signed up for Chemistry.com to give it a try. It looked like a different kind of site than the others because it was based on matching personality types, not just fishing through tons of pictures of people. My fiancé also decided to give the free weekend a try by re-opening his profile. We both took a chance that weekend and found each other. While my future fiancé was celebrating Father's Day with his son and his Dad, I was liking his tag line and decided to contact him. I thought he looked very handsome and sweet in the photo and I really liked what he wrote about the partner he was looking for! Best of all, I liked the fact that the site matched us....he was a Director and I was a Negotiator. To this day it is a beautiful match. He directs and I negotiate!! We get along so well and have an amazing attraction to each other...so much so that we decided to get married. My director took control of the situation and asked me to marry him on my birthday weekend. He surprised me on a trip away and had everything planned out and so romantic. Of course I said yes and we spent the rest of the trip so excited about planning our future together combining our lives and families. This coming May will be together almost two years and will be married. We are looking forward to sharing our special day with our three children and family and close friends. We definitely recommend Chemisrty.com to friends and co-workers. I tell them it was just meant to be!

Rhonda and Christopher

Rhonda and Christopher in a relationship

It took a few dates to find that right person, but when Rhonda and I met for the first time, it was just something magical. The ice-breaker games had already opened up a lot of mutual interests in each other, and we were then able to communicate and kind of get to know each other even more through emails on the site. When we actually did meet in person for the first time, it was so natural. It almost felt like our first date was more like our second or third date. It didn't take long for love to grow from there, because we each knew that the other person brought what we wanted most to the relationship. Rhonda and I have been dating exclusively for a little over two months now, and we both know that it's not a question of if we'll get married, but when. Thanks to Chemistry.com, love is growing quickly and confidently with us!
